We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging - but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.
What you'll build
As a SAP iXp Intern - Data & Analytics Associate, you'll help build the data foundation that enables smarter decisions across SAP's IT organization. You'll work alongside experienced data engineers and analytics professionals to develop modern data solutions, explore AI-powered engineering practices, and gain hands-on experience with SAP's latest cloud technologies.
In this role, you'll contribute to real-world analytics initiatives while building practical skills in data engineering, cloud platforms, and Agile software development.
You will:
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of modern data products throughout their lifecycle-from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
* Help build and optimize data pipelines using SQL and Python, integrating data from SAP and non-SAP sources.
* Support the creation of scalable data models and analytical solutions using SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, and related technologies.
* Collaborate with engineers and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
* Improve data quality, reliability, and performance through testing, monitoring, and continuous improvements.
* Explore how AI can accelerate engineering tasks and support automation across the development lifecycle.
* Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies while learning software engineering best practices, including Git, documentation, and CI/CD fundamentals.
What you bring
You're currently actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, and you're excited to build your career in data and analytics.
You also bring:
* Basic knowledge of SQL and some hands-on experience with Python through university projects, internships, or personal work.
* Interest in data engineering, analytics, cloud technologies, and AI.
* Curiosity to learn modern data platforms such as SAP Datasphere, SAP HANA Cloud, or SAP Analytics Cloud.
* An analytical mindset with a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in an international Agile environment.
* Familiarity with Git or software development practices is a plus but not required.
Where you belong
You'll join an international team building the data backbone that powers analytics across SAP's IT landscape. As part of the SAP iXp program, you'll work on meaningful projects, receive mentorship from experienced engineers, and develop valuable technical and professional skills in a collaborative, innovative environment. You'll have the opportunity to explore modern cloud technologies, AI-driven engineering, and data analytics while making a real impact from day one.
