Mercedes-Benz USA Sales Planning Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) Overview and Responsibilities
The Junior Associate Consultant (JAC) for the Sales Planning team will support core planning activities across the Mercedes Benz USA portfolio. As part of the Volume Planning and Sales Strategy functions, the JAC will work with data on retail pace, inventory development, and competitive trends while helping prepare key planning materials. This role is designed for an analytical, performance-oriented individual interested in sales planning, forecasting, and market dynamics. The JAC will assist in maintaining planning tools, preparing documents for cross functional alignment, and supporting scenario and KPI based analysis. Primary responsibilities of the Sales Planning JAC:
* Support monthly New Vehicle Sales planning by collecting model data, updating planning files, and preparing briefings on production, wholesale, retail, and stock.
* Assist with annual mid- and long-term strategic planning through data checks, template updates, and basic trend comparisons.
* Help conduct simple scenario and "what if" analyses by compiling datasets and highlighting key differences or risks.
* Monitor competitive market trends and prepare short updates on segment shifts, pricing changes, and competitor sales.
* Maintain planning documentation and support data accuracy across planning tools, assumptions, and model level inputs.
* Prepare materials for cross functional alignment, including charts, tables, and brief summaries for stakeholder meetings
Qualifikationen
Required Qualifications:
* Undergraduate or Graduate student with remaining academic tenure greater than 1 year. *Preferred degrees: Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, International Business, or similar fields.
* Available to work onsite from April 2026 to September 2026 in Atlanta, GA
* In-person schedule, up to 28 hours weekly
* Proof of Proficiency (Portfolio, Recommendation Letters, etc.)
* Proficiency in German language a plus.
Preferred Skillset:
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and deliver accurate work under tight timelines.
* Proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI is a plus.
* Detail oriented with strong critical thinking, problem solving abilities, and a focus on data accuracy.
* Proactive self starter with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to clearly summarize findings.
* Curiosity for automotive market dynamics and interest in strategic sales planning.
