Overall
Im so glad I ended up studying at LTL. Ive been studying mandarin for a while now, with no end in sight. However, being at LTL has given me the confidence and the opportunities I need to utilize and practice my Chinese on a day to day basis. Unlike University settings, LTL allows for a very intimate teaching atmosphere, which I personally have enjoyed since I can get direct feedback on my pronunciation grammatical usage and so on. In addition to being a great school, you also have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, and take part in fun activities every week.

If I were to mention one shortcoming of LTL it is that their WIFI is somewhat unreliable; but beside this, it really is the place to be if you want to learn Chinese and have fun while doing it!

I am having the best time at LTL. After 4 weeks of group classes (20 hours per week) I have learned a lot of Mandarin. I now feel confident completing many daily tasks such as ordering food at a restaurant, using transport and asking directions. I hope over the next 6 weeks I have remaining I will be able to get to HSK 3 level - this is from starting at less than HSK 1!

Pros
The staff are incredible. Everyone is so friendly. They have lots of social programs so you get to meet all the students. Everything is very professional too - the teachers are really good and the classes are well structured. Everything is perfect.
Cons
The only drawback is that this is a very expensive school; however, you do get what you pay for.

I have been studying Chinese for three years at university and the course in Beijing was so much better than what we had before. Classes are better organized, the teachers are better, and especially Chinese characters are taught a lot more effectively than what I was used to.

Overall
I studied at LTL for a month this winter and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As I had previously never been to China and went there on my own with no knowledge of the language I was quite concerned about feeling lonely there. This turned out not to be a problem. The student community at the school is small but a lot of fun. There are a lot of activities where students, and often staff do things together which makes making friends very easy. In general the atmosphere at the school is very relaxed and supportive which helped especially during my first week when I experienced a bit of a culture shock.

I studied there for three months. My teacher was very good and a lot of fun too, which helped, as I struggle(d) with some parts of the language.
The team there is a lot of fun and you make friends quickly. It was nice to have someone help you - especially during the first week.

Course: 8 weeks, 20 hours/week, homestay, May 2013
Overall
It is a very good school, but for me the most important part was the homestay family. They were fantastic and I think anyone who wants to really learn anything about China and the language should join their homestay program.

I am still in touch with them and their son will probably come and visit me next year.

Overall
The school is located in the Central Business District, with small classes, professional teachers and a very helfpul support team. The website describes the school quite accurately and I suggest going through the descriptions on there in depth.

My teacher was very good and I found the course structure and organization very suitable for me. I do not think it would have been possible to organize this in a better way for my needs and found my language progress during my six weeks in Beijing highly satisfactory.

I am in China for a gap year, currently studying at LTL. It is a fun school, with good teachers and they are VERY helpful with pretty much anything. The plan is to be fluent by the end of the year, I hope I get there.

They have cheaper prices over the winter holidays, make sure you ask.

I spent two fantastic months at LTL. I had two teachers, both were outstanding educators, the accommodation very good, the staff helpful, and my class mates a lot of fun.

I enjoyed the classes and Beijing a lot and after my experience can definitely recommend LTL.

I take 1-on-1 classes at LTL and want to recommend the teachers there. I have two teachers, both of whom have been teaching Mandarin for years and I can feel the difference in my progress compared to my previous teachers.

It is a quality educational institution.
