Opened September, 1960, Miami-Dade now is a multicampus, two-year, state-supported community college with six campuses and numerous outreach centers, and nationally recognized as one of the largest and best community colleges in the country.
MDCC awards the following degrees: Associate of Arts (AA; designed to transfer to universities), Associate of Science (AS; designed primarily to prepare students for immediate employment, but with transferable credit in case of transfer), Associate of Science in Allied Health/Nursing.
