Personal recommendation
I highly reccommend SIT for people who want to step outside of their own personal experience to understand a different way of living. It's for the adventurous and those who would like to believe in their courageousness. I was able to write, choreograph and produce my own dance performance for my independent study project and I learned a lot about my strengths and my areas for improvement. I faced many of my fears on a daily basis.

The classes are all required, so take them. Study hard because the Academic Directors are personally invested in your success. Seek help from your family on your Shona homework.

ABOUT
The School for International Training (SIT) is the accredited college of World Learning, an organization founded in 1932 as The Experiment in International Living - one of the oldest private, nonprofit, international educational service organizations in the world. Established in 1964, SIT has prepared thousands of students and working professionals for challenging careers in communities in the U.S. and around the world, whether in the boardroom, the classroom, or in the field. SIT attracts faculty, staff, and students from over 30 countries, including developing nations on five continents. The low faculty/student ratio ensures a level of academic mentoring that does not exist at most institutions.
