Job Designation

The NDT Quality Technician Level 1 provides technical support to the quality engineering functions. Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components and parts at various stages of the production process, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot any problems that may arise. Experience working with a variety of materials.

Job Core Responsibilities

* Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) to determine potential defects
* Use NDT equipment (e.g. handheld, eddy-current)
* Perform material characterization and failure analysis
* Perform diagnostic examinations
* Understand inspection/test procedures to industry standards
* Obtain and interpret inspection reports
* Perform NDT testing (e.g., eddy-current, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, fluorescent dye)
* Perform NDT calibrations, evaluations and inspections
* Follow and inspect all standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures
* Understand and apply NDT method and techniques

Job Specifications

Education : A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
Certifications : Vocational Training and/or apprenticeships in Quality Control Inspections or equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience : 1-2 years proven experience in NDT
2nd Shift Position With $2 Shift Differential
* Skilled at performing examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials, components and parts on all types of standard and special products
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
* Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local NDE standards and codes
* Ability to independently resolve standard assignments
* Experience with blueprints, drawings and parts lists
* Proficient computer skills
