The First Line of Defense Financial Crimes Risk & Controls Center of Excellence (1LOD FCRC COE) provides a holistic, enterprise wide approach to Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) across American Express. The team is responsible for strengthening first-line financial crimes capabilities globally including anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, payments controls, anti corruption and customer risk management.

Working in close partnership with Technology, Data, Analytics, Risk, Compliance and Operations teams the organization is modernizing financial crimes capabilities through innovative product development, advanced analytics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our mission is to build scalable, intelligent solutions that enhance the company's ability to detect, prevent, and manage financial crime risks while delivering exceptional customer experiences

Minimum Qualifications

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in business, economics, finance, risk management, data analytics, computer science, technology, or a related field.

* Candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2027 to June 2028

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information and translate findings into actionable insights.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholder groups.

* Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
