Position Location:

SILEANE is seeking a VIE to fill the position, Commissioning Engineer - Automation & Robotics.
This position reports to the SILEANE General Manager. The position is located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, at the customer's facility. Depending on the evolution of the project, the position may be relocated within the United States in a second step to support another SILEANE project.

Position Description:

The Commissioning Engineer supports the integration, testing, and start-up of a large-scale robotic Pick & Pack line installed by SILEANE for a major industrial customer. The project aims to automate an airport catering logistics platform through the development and integration of dedicated special-purpose machines designed for the automated preparation of meal trays and aircraft trolleys. This role bridges the French engineering teams and on-site operations by starting up equipment, running integration and performance tests, supporting Site Acceptance Tests, and assisting production ramp-up to contractual rate. The Commissioning Engineer works closely with SILEANE field engineers, the customer's production and maintenance teams, and the project team in France to ensure machine performance, reliability, and a smooth handover to the service organization.

About SILEANE:

SILEANE is a French robotics company headquartered in Saint-Étienne, France, specialized in adaptive robotics and intelligent handling solutions. For over 20 years, SILEANE has designed, manufactured, and commissioned turnkey robotic systems combining industrial robots, machine vision, and real-time control for demanding production environments across food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and logistics industries. The Atlanta project is one of SILEANE's flagship international deployments: a complete automated Pick & Pack line integrating robotic cells, conveying systems, and a Warehouse Control System.

Mission:

* Start up equipment (robots, PLCs, drives) and establish communications between robots, PLCs, and supervision systems.
* Perform I/O testing and configure robot frames, tools, and trajectories.
* Run integration tests in the machine environment, in collaboration with other disciplines, to reach performance targets: cycle time, quality, reject rate, availability.
* Follow up and update the test plan and the punch list.
* Measure line performance and actively contribute to Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) validation.
* Support production ramp-up: troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and corrective actions until contractual production rate is reached.
* Once the line reaches its performance targets (expected after approximately 9 months), shift focus to supporting the customer in maintaining the equipment in operation: preventive and corrective maintenance support, spare parts follow-up, and continuous performance monitoring.
* Contribute to user documentation and train the customer's operators and maintenance teams toward autonomous use of the line.
* Ensure operational continuity and support the handover to the SILEANE service organization
