The team:
The Global Technology teams design, develop and support applications needed to maintain the Banks full range of products and services in over 30+ countries. The team liaise with both technical and business colleagues across the bank to deliver high quality, scalable and performant systems that align with the Banks strategic goals.
Programme Overview
Our apprentice programme starts in September 2026. You will join our Cyber Security team, in a full-time role whilst completing a two-year Advanced Certificate in Cybersecurity (Level Six) qualification.

Training and Development
Your training and development is our top priority with extensive formal training offered at the start of the programme in addition to on the job support, educational speaker events and mentorship throughout.
Responsibilities:
As an apprentice, you will join one of our teams in GIS EMEA. Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Building an understanding of the Banks security policy, standards, and requirements
* Develop a strong understanding of established processes and guidelines to handle common issues
* Accurate documentation, record-keeping, analysis and response to incoming information security inquiries or issues
* Monitor assigned queues and work cases in an efficient and effective manner
* Collaborate with team members to resolve more complex problems and/or escalate as necessary
* Adapt to change and learning of new technology/processes
* Supporting technical and non-technical colleagues performing specialised GIS functions to drive operational efficiencies.
* Partnering and developing key relationships with stakeholders across the team and outside of the team
Eligibility
* Must be 18 years or older
* Will be required to complete an initial aptitude test
* Must have achieved a passing grade (or O6/H7) in 5 or more subjects to include Maths and English (Ordinary Level) in the Irish Leaving Certificate
* Must be eligible to participate in Further Education and Training programmes
* Right to work and study in Ireland
What we are looking for
Essential:
* Show demonstrable evidence of self-learning outside of studies, and efforts to advance technical skills
* Display clear motivation for exploring a Technology career within financial services, and a specific interest in Information Security
* Demonstrate capacity for innovative thinking and strong problem solving
* Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to interact with a variety of people
* Display evidence of strong teamwork and leadership
* Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
* Demonstrate integrity and ethics by earning other's trust and respect through consistent honesty and professionalism in all interactions
* Will be advantageous if there is demonstrable coding experience in an object-oriented programming language.
