KONE's Global Legal Function provides services for KONE on a global basis to help KONE achieve its business objectives in line with its strategy. We have altogether some 180 legal professionals spread across more than 25 countries.
We are now looking for
Assistant Legal Counsels
to join our Global Legal Function to work together with our other Assistant Legal Counsels with a broad range of matters typical for a legal function of an internationally operating company.
The position is offered on a part-time basis for a fixed-term period of one year, starting in August 2026. On average, you will be working two to three days per week. The salary for this position follows the recommendations of the Association of Finnish Lawyers for law students and is determined based on the number of completed study credits.
Main responsibilities:
* Contract reviews and initial negotiations
* Fact finding and legal research
* Drafting and reviewing of various documents and reports
* Supporting also the Risk Management function
* Maintaining legal and corporate databases
* Arranging for the execution and legalization of contracts and other documents
* Administering collection activities
* Liaising directly with KONE personnel and externals globally in legal and other matters
Requirements for the position:
* Law student with at least half of legal studies completed.
* Relevant past work experience (e.g. from a law firm or in-house legal role).
* Fluency in English, with proficiency in Finnish. Swedish and other languages being an asset.
* International experience (e.g., internship or studies abroad) is appreciated.
* Proactive approach and capability of working both independently and as part of a larger team
* Motivated and driven to work and get things done in a fast pace international and multicultural environment.
