Job Description:

The employees at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg develop and produce in the core areas of axles, axle components, lightweight structural components, steering columns, exhaust manifolds and pioneering e-mobility technologies. Modern welding processes and the combination of hydroforming and plastic injection molding have been further developed at the site for series production.
During your 6-month internship, you will be part of our team and contribute to the development of pedal systems and the associated product modifications. The focus of the internship is on the monitoring, evaluation and documentation of complex test series relating to the pedal systems.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
Collaboration in the activities of the test engineer
* Familiarization with the measurement technology and evaluation software from the test field
* Collaboration in complex test series for pedal system testing
* Participation in the planning, monitoring and implementation of tests
* Evaluation and documentation of test results
* Assisting with the procurement and creation of prototypes and sample parts
* Collaboration in benchmark and patent analyses
* Co-planning the expansion of existing system and module units in the test field

Qualifikationen

* Degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a comparable course of study
* Proficient in written and spoken German and English
* Confident handling of MS Office
* Commitment and ability to work in a team
* Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
* An affinity for craftsmanship is an advantage
