WHAT WE OFFER

Our Controlling team collaborates with (COMPANY NAME)'s various departments to provide business insights. We refine our tools and processes to keep up with the latest standards in data analytics, reporting, and planning. Our Controlling department plays a crucial role in one of our major projects - making (COMPANY NAME) fully circular in the future. During your internship, you will work in Performance Materials Controlling, a department in the CFO area that supports (COMPANY NAME)'s largest business entity.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
* Support financial planning and forecasting processes, as well as subsequently track and analyse forecast deviations in order to help the management to efficiently run the operative business
* Help to prepare strategy conferences and take part in strategic projects which help (COMPANY NAME) to achieve its sustainability goals
* Perform detailed profitability analyses for different product groups and regions with the help of statistical models
* Review and analyze marketing, sales and manufacturing costs in order to help (COMPANY NAME) meet its cost targets
* Preparing presentations and reports for (COMPANY NAME)'s high level management team
* Contribute and support in ad hoc analysis of relevant business data and project related tasks, e.g. circular economy and energy-efficiency projects
* Conceptual work, including the optimization of existing tools, applications and processes

WHAT YOU OFFER

* You are a Bachelor or Master student (m/f/d) in Controlling, Accounting, Finance or a comparable course of study
* Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in Controlling, Accounting or Finance
* You have good user skills in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), high command of digitalization and automation skills desirable (e.g. R, Python, VBA)
* You have an analytical mindset and enjoy communicating concepts and ideas with stakeholders on a global level
* You are able to multi-task and achieve a high quality standard at the same time
* Proficient German and English skills are required

Please note, the duration of the internship is 4 to preferably 6 months. After the first training sessions in Leverkusen office, mobile working within Germany will be definitely possible.
