Job Description:

Imagine you go to a Mercedes-Benz dealership or to our website and configure your dream vehicle with your desired equipment (e.g. beautiful rims and black leather seats).

Our job is to provide our suppliers and plants with reliable demand forecasts so that they can adjust their capacities accordingly, production and delivery bottlenecks are avoided and you receive your desired vehicle with your desired configuration in a timely manner.

Our Demand Planning Overall Types & Code team determines sales requirements for types and special equipment for all Mercedes-Benz Vans model series worldwide so that changes in demand can be addressed to logistics at an early stage and plant and supplier capacities can be expanded if necessary. To this end, we use all the input and information available in the Sales & Marketing department that could have an impact on future demand. Once a month, our planning jour fixe takes place for each series, during which we discuss the need for action with sales experts from Product Management and the Sales or Marketing departments and decide on new forecast settings. We also represent the interests of Sales in discussions with Logistics, Purchasing and Controlling when it comes to initiating necessary capacity measures while taking overall economic efficiency into account.

Qualifikationen

* Degree in economics, business administration, business studies with a focus on marketing or a comparable course of study
* Proficient in written and spoken German and English
* Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
* Strong ability to work in a team
* High level of commitment and initiative
* Ability to work independently
* Strong analytical skills and confident handling of numbers

The duration of the internship is six months.
