Your role
Support LCA studies to assess the environmental impact of materials, processes and products.
Perform analytical activities to support regulatory compliance requirements and related data management.
Objective:
Support the Sustainability team in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies and sustainability compliance activities. The role contributes to evaluating the environmental impacts of materials, processes and products, and supports analytical work required to meet regulatory obligations (e.g., EPR, PPWR, EUDR), with a strong focus on data extraction, data quality and cross-functional collaboration.
Main responsibilities:
* Extract and post-process data from the ERP system (e.g., BOMs, routings, process parameters).
* Extract sustainability datasets from ecoinvent and/or other relevant databases and software tools.
* Collect and consolidate data from suppliers (materials, origin, composition, packaging, etc.).
* Work closely with key internal stakeholders (Product, R&D, Procurement, Master Data, Operations) to validate assumptions and ensure data consistency.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:
1) LCA Data Collection & Process Understanding
* Understand physical and manufacturing processes and translate them into LCA-relevant inputs.
* Collect, validate and structure input data for LCA modelling (materials, energy, transport, processing steps).
* Apply a critical mindset to interpret LCA results and identify hotspots and key drivers.
* Support sensitivity checks and scenario comparisons to strengthen conclusions.
* Contribute to clear reporting of results for internal stakeholders (slides, short notes, dashboards insights).
2) Sustainability Data Environment & Dashboard Support (Eyewear)
* Support the implementation of a sustainability data environment for Eyewear (data pipelines, definitions, governance).
* Contribute to dashboard development (KPIs, monitoring views, data consistency checks) in collaboration with the team.
3) Regulatory Compliance Data Management (EPR, PPWR, EUDR, …)
* Support data collection and management needed for sustainability regulations (e.g., packaging, waste, product traceability).
* Maintain structured documentation and evidence (supplier declarations, packaging specs, material composition).
* Assist with requirement mapping, basic gap analysis, and internal checklists.
