Within the sector D&E the cluster Electronics Development (EDEV) is responsible for the definition, realization, qualification and integration of electronic functions and modules within these products.
Within EDEV EUV the group Tin Delivery and Refill is responsible for the electronic functions needed for a safe and reliable delivery of high-pressure Tin (droplets) used in the EUV light generation process of the latest generation ASML machines.
Your assignment
Next generation machines requires new means of pressurization of tin compared to existing pressurization methods. The goal is to develop a pressure sensor capable to measure the pressure of a molten tin medium. This is a very harsh environment, meaning under high pressure and high temperature.
The assignment comprises of:
* Creating a trade-off table of pressure sensing technologies which can meet the requirements.
* By means of an analytical model and/or FEM simulations, create and verify the design of the pressure sensor.
Your Profile
* You are bachelor's or master's student in electrical engineering, with a specialization in micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS)
* You are goal-oriented with basic knowledge of MEMS design: Electronics, Mechanics and material science. Experience with a Multiphysics FEM package e.g. ANSYS or COMSOL is a plus.
* You are a proactive student, with can-do attitude and a team player.
* Self-driven and highly motivated complimented with good communication skills
* Fluent in English, verbally and in writing.
Other requirements you need to meet
