Android Mobile Apps Intern

Job Description:

Join our team! We are developing TomToms flagship mobile navigation app built on top of the latest TomTom technologies. Our mission is to harden and showcase the best and latest TomTom technologies in a commercial grade application. We take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, from concept to release on the Google Play Store.

As an intern, you'll partner with a buddy that will help you get up-and-running. You'll get to experience every aspect related to modern software development in a mobile app.

What you'll do

* Contribute to the development of a mobile application using Kotlin and modern Android practices.
* Be involved in the full application lifecycle: from feature design and implementation to production release on Google Play Store
* Build features using Jetpack Compose and follow Clean Architecture principles
* Write tests and follow best engineering practices
* Investigate and solve bugs
* Participate in activities related to application supervision and maintenance
* Identify risks and performance issues in existing application and support efforts to eliminate them
* Contribute to documenting existing solutions

What you'll need

* You are a student in IT/Computer Science/Engineering/Programming or related courses
* Willing to commute to our TomTom office in Amsterdam or Łódź at least twice a week
* Comfortable with written and verbal communication in English
* Analytical mindset and enthusiasm to solve complex problems
* Desire to learn and expand your skillsets
* Good communication skills
* Enjoy working in a team
