Computer Science | Software Engineering Internship:  IT Innovation - MX Cluster Development

Introduction

The IT Innovation team at ASML works on new technologies that support secure and efficient software development. As a Computer Science | Software Engineering internship focused on cloud automation security, you will help improve tools that developers use every day. You will contribute to solutions that strengthen security and increase automation across MX clusters. You will join a team that values learning, experimentation, and collaboration. This internship gives you the chance to explore modern cloud practices in a fast-moving environment.

Your assignment

In this Computer Science | Software Engineering internship focused on cloud automation security, you will help design and improve pipelines and workflows that support MX developers. You will work on automation and security topics while exploring new ideas through proof-of-concepts. You will also contribute to scaling pipelines to the cloud and help implement secure, efficient processes. Your work will have a direct impact on how developers build and deploy software.

Your main responsibilities will be:
* Develop and improve a shared pipeline that supports MX developers.
* Automate workflows to increase speed and reduce manual steps.
* Move pipelines to cloud environments with strong security controls.
* Build and test proof-of-concepts that explore new technologies.
* Review and update security guidelines to support compliance.
* Enable temporary access solutions that support secure operations.
* Contribute to security or infrastructure projects that match your interests.

This is a bachelor thesis internship for minimum 6 months, minimum 5 days per week (2-3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.

Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
* Are enrolled in a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or information technology.
* Have an interest in cloud technologies, automation, and security.
* Are analytical, able to break down problems and learn quickly.
* Are proactive and comfortable experimenting with new ideas.
* Are collaborative and enjoy working with others in a dynamic setting.
* Have familiarity with DevOps pipelines or cloud platforms (preferred but not required).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
