Summary

This internship will provide hands-on experience in developing process improvements for cybersecurity data ingestion and reporting, which are essential for generating accurate insights on vulnerabilities and criticality status of OT machines across Emerson. The project will serve as both a learning experience and a meaningful contribution to the organization's AI, cybersecurity, and automation initiatives. Emerson interns are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Assisting in developing automation workflows that ingest cybersecurity and machine data through API integrations.
* Transforming raw and ingested data into clear, actionable reports and dashboards for leadership, cybersecurity teams, and technical groups.
* Documenting processes, workflows, procedures, and findings to support transparency and future knowledge transfer.
* Participating in discussions with project teams and contributing ideas that enhance efficiency, reporting quality, and automation opportunities.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
* Ability to complete at least 480 internship hours (open to both required and voluntary internships).
* Ability to start on March 9, 2026.
* Basic knowledge of Python or another programming language.
* Familiarity with virtual machines and Linux environments.
* Understanding of APIs and how they are integrated into workflows.
* General exposure to automation, data processing, or cybersecurity concepts.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
* Strong skills in data interpretation, analysis, and reporting.
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools, technologies, and systems.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity processes, tools, or operational environments.
