Data Science Intern

Job Description:

As a Data Science Intern in Warsaw, you will support the client-facing Data Science Lab team in the European region for 11 weeks during summer. You will assist in developing and delivering analytics-driven strategies and solutions for Visa's external clients. This internship offers hands-on experience in applying data science techniques to real-world business challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the design and implementation of data-driven solutions for Visa clients.
* Assisting in data preparation, analysis, and visualization to uncover insights.
* Learning and applying predictive modeling and machine learning techniques under guidance.
* Collaborating with VCA consultants and internal teams to understand business requirements.
* Participating in meetings and discussions to translate client needs into actionable analytics.
* Documenting methodologies and maintaining project records.
This role provides exposure to end-to-end project delivery, from gathering requirements to presenting insights that enable data-driven decisions.
Principal Responsibilities
* Assist in promoting data science solutions to solve business challenges.
* Support development of predictive models and machine learning applications.
* Analyze VisaNet data to identify trends and opportunities.
* Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project requirements.
* Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives

Candidate Requirements:

What we're looking for:
* Permanent right to work in Poland.
* Currently pursuing a degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering) with expected graduation in 2027. Available for a summer internship starting in June or July 2026.
* Fluent in Polish and English.
* Strong interest in data analytics and consulting.
* Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
* Basic understanding of SQL and data manipulation.
* Knowledge of predictive modeling and machine learning concepts is a plus.
* Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team environment
