Technical Trainee - Broadcast Engineering, Transmission

Responsibilities

The Engineer provides technical support under Mediacorp's Broadcast Engineering (BE)'s Transmission department & ensure that it is in compliance with all relevant legal & regulatory requirements and maintains the highest possible standard in terms of competencies in technical operations & engineering support as well as the transmission service uptime.

The Engineer Is Expected

* To handle the transmission equipment which includes the maintenance & repair of transmission equipment
* To assist in liaising with the vendors or suppliers & will also be involved in various transmission projects
* To assist to coordinate with the various government agencies on matters concerning RF radiation or location access with the building owners (eg. HDB, Town Councils & commercial buildings)
* To perform standby technical support duty with opportunities to also cover the transmission operation shift duty

Qualifications

* A good basic degree or diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or its equivalent
* Ability to perform shift work
* Effective verbal & writing skills
* A strong interest & knowledge in media broadcast technology will be an added advantage
