General Motors Advanced Design are seeking an enthusiastic intern to join the
Clay Sculpting team based in its new UK studio in Leamington Spa,
Warwickshire. An entry level internship as a clay sculptor working under the general
mentorship of Senior Sculptors, responsible for translating 2D sketches,
renderings and digital data into precise and aesthetically refined 3D clay
models for various vehicle programs. This is for automotive vehicles and other
mobility products including but not limited to: interiors, exteriors, color and
trim, brand and components.

Work collaboratively in a team of design personnel to achieve design goals as
defined by leadership. Follow design process from initial sketches through
final release of models. Present working level and final physical models to
management and leadership. Understanding of 3D form and surface
transition. Works closely with team members and cross-functional partners to
communicate design intent. Understands program timelines and task
completion in a deadline driven environment.

Collaborate frequently with design team, sculpting organization, engineering
and fabrication teams in the development of new designs. Maintain
knowledge of current design trends and technology. Translate ideas frequently
to management and leadership to communicate design. Work duties involve a
considerable amount of perception and creativity as well as a strong degree of
skill and accuracy to deliver work in a deadline driven environment.
