Internship - Global Financial Systems

Job Description:

Location: This position will be based out of our Corporate Headquarters in New York, NY.
Salary: Compensation for this internship will be $25 per hour.
Position Overview:
The Intern - Global Financial Systems will bridge the gap between business strategy, business processes and controls. They will assist with financial data governance, financial application security governance and process improvement projects for global finance and accounting teams. They will work in our financial applications including but not limited to JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and World, Microsoft NAV as well as other supporting finance technologies. Key Accountabilities:
* Develop and maintain global process and control documentation using process maps, process models, or process narratives.
* Collaborate with finance and accounting process owners to maintain the Financial Data Governance processes, data and systems.
* Assist with Global Financial Application Security maintenance and monitoring activities.
* Participate in other special projects, assignments or tasks as directed by department management.
Required Qualifications:
* 0-1 years of diversified finance/accounting and/or systems related experience
* Pursuing a BA/BS from an accredited university, preferably a degree in Finance/Accounting/Information Systems or Data Analytics
* Experience with ERP application/software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.)
* Strong process background
* Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Must have strong organizational skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Project management education or experience
* Six Sigma
