Description:

The intern will learn how to develop medium- to long-term complex supply chain processes and methods that influence supplier decisions and logistics costs.
He/she will interact with all process partners who collaborate with Supply Chain Planning to gain an understanding of Packaging, Material Flow/Lineside Planning, Transportation, and Material Control.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute to and improve the following functions:

* Support quarterly audits to ensure adherence to the supply concept by all process partners.

* Improve ongoing performance through efficiency and process optimizations.

* Project Management: project assignments depend on identified internship objectives.

* Perform quantitative and qualitative evaluations, considering the impact on logistics costs and structure.

* Support detailed Supply Chain monitoring and concept planning for direct delivery processes in both Assembly Halls for Series and New Model Supply Chain Development.

* Develop new or optimize existing supply methods, including emergency strategies, using corporate standard concepts.

* Coordinate, lead, and document review events for both production halls.

* Support special projects such as "integration of future models into the existing supply chain" and prepare presentations for problem lineside locations.

* Implement and/or optimize Supply Chains for Direct Delivery Suppliers.

* Evaluate logistical and financial impacts of product changes.

* Map, analyze, and evaluate processes for optimization opportunities.

* Initially, the intern's role will be observational and supportive in identifying innovations in logistics or pinpointing non-value-adding processes that could be improved through innovative approaches.

Qulifications:

* Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

* Detail-oriented and organized.

* Self-initiative and proactive.

* Proficient with MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel (experience with VLookup, Macros, etc. preferred).

* Experience with Power BI is preferred.

* Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale.

* Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.

* Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.

* Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).

* Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.

* Work terms dates are from September 21, 2026, to March 5, 2027.

* Must provide the following paperwork in English.
