Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project (Australia) Maintenance & Operations Centres (MOC) and Surface Buildings
The Project
A consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to deliver South Australia's largest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.
The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, completing a continuous 78km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway and leaving a lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.
The T2D Project includes the construction of two major tunnels (Northern and Southern Tunnels) connected by an open motorway, with the full corridor scheduled to open to traffic in 2031. Works also include extensive surface infrastructure, road and bridge construction, services buildings, and complex mechanical and electrical systems.
The Alliance is committed to creating opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees, and long-term job seekers, while also drawing on international experience where skills are highly transferable to this scale and complexity of delivery.
The Opportunity
The M&E Buildings Team is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced construction professionals to support the delivery of Maintenance and Operations Centres (MOC) and Surface Buildings across the T2D Project.
These roles will play a key part in the planning, coordination, construction, and commissioning of critical building infrastructure integrated with tunnelling and surface works.
Roles of Interest
We are looking to speak to candidates with experience aligned to the following positions:
* Senior Project Engineer - M&E Buildings
* Site Supervisor - M&E Buildings
* Site Engineer / Project Engineer - M&E Buildings
Appointments will be aligned to project needs and individual capability.
Scope of Works
Across these roles, responsibilities may include:
* Delivery and integration of M&E works within complex building environments
* Electrical infrastructure (HV/LV power, substations, switch rooms, UPS, cabling)
* Mechanical systems (HVAC, pump stations, mechanical plant)
* Coordination of M&E interfaces with civil and structural works
* Testing, commissioning, and system handover
* Management of technical queries, design changes, and construction sequencing
* Strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and compliance with Australian standards and WHS legislation
Roles will work closely with Building Project Management, M&E discipline leads, construction managers, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure seamless integration with the broader T2D program .
Candidate Profile
We are interested in professionals who bring:
* Experience on Tier 1 or equivalent major infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of M&E integration within buildings and surface infrastructure
* Proven leadership, site coordination, and stakeholder management capability
* A demonstrated commitment to zero-harm safety culture
* The ability to operate in high-risk, high-value, complex project environments
* Experience in Alliance or PPP delivery models (desirable)
International Experience
Given the scale, systems, and delivery model of the T2D Project, this Expression of Interest will be of particular relevance to professionals with UK-based major infrastructure experience who are open to working internationally or relocating to Australia. Experience gained on comparable projects is considered highly transferable.
