Job Description

You can join AEW's Compliance and Internal Control team as a Compliance and Internal Control Officer.
In your daily role, your main responsibilities include:
Engaging in the KYC control framework for investor clients and counterparties involved in real estate transactions or receivables concerning AML-CFT (Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism) and regulations related to sanctions/embargoes, FATCA, and MiFID regulations - Monitoring of filtering tools;
Assisting in the definition and implementation of the internal control plan, conducting second-level controls, and supporting operational teams in following up on recommendations and implementing corrective actions;
Contributing to the production of reports for shareholders and regulators;
Participating in the creation and updating of the company's various risk mappings (AML-CFT, operational risks, ESG, etc.) and in monitoring operational incidents;
Involvement in internal and external audit missions and General Inspection by collecting documents, following up on recommendations, and corrective actions;
Contributing to AEW's governance by preparing materials, serving on various committees (allocation, compliance, and internal control, etc.), and managing key projects for the team, such as monitoring service providers and implementing new tools.
As a Compliance and Internal Control Officer, you will help ensure AEW's adherence to compliance and internal control standards, as well as AML-CFT regulations, by partnering with all employees and always acting in the best interest of our investor clients. You will join a dynamic and committed team and work in a friendly and stimulating environment.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

With a higher education, you have at least 2 years of experience in a legal or compliance environment in the financial sector and preferably in asset/fund management.

You master:
* The particularities of a regulated environment dedicated to the management of alternative funds (AIF) and the associated regulations;
* The Office Pack (knowledge of World Check One and Dow Jones tools is a plus).

You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen, you are:
* Able to work independently and in collaboration with all types of interlocutors;
* Detail-oriented, you like to learn, look for solutions, and are able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
* Strength of proposal.

You master English with a B2 level.
