SC Transportation Assistant Analyst

Job Description:

Overview

The role is primarily responsible for leading one region within the Vendor Direct hub team in Cork, managing the end-to-end Vendor Direct Supply Chain and fulfilling orders supplied to our customers worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity to gain supply chain and logistics experience, liaising with several other functions e.g Quality, Procurement and internal Supply Chain teams to deliver seamless execution of supply and identify opportunities to streamline and automate process. The role will collaborate with the 3PL in Shannon ensuring all orders executed on time as well as key suppliers and customer services representatives. We manage over 500+ materials from 35+ vendors globally to 30+ customers globally from 3 different supply chains.
Responsibilities

The Vendor Direct representative manages execution for his/her region, ensuring correct data set-ups, order placement, and logistics, as well as escalation to appropriate colleagues. He/she collaborates with VD colleagues in Cork and Singapore, CS teams, and the 3PL team in Shannon. In addition to the execution of orders and maintaining scorecards and trackers, the role will review all current processes with a view to efficiency and develop opportunities to streamline and develop best practice. He/she will contribute to brainstorming and project work within the team, constantly striving for productivity and increased areas of efficiency within the process. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for sending a monthly forecast to the vendor, ensuring accurate planning and supply chain coordination
Qualifications

* Experience (3+ years) in a multi-national environment
* Experience in SAP and proven ability to interrogate the system.
* Strong operational experience in a dynamic multinational organization, with specific freight and planning experience is a distinct advantage.
* Comfortable working in a matrix environment and driving operational links with other functions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
* Professional, impactful, and credible in front of third parties
* Great analytical skills and computer literacy, complimented by strong soft / relationship management skills.
