We are currently looking for a Sustainable Textile Supply Chain Specialist who will support the RTW Sustainable Development Manager at our Material Innovation Lab (MIL) in Milan.

Job Description

Your opportunity

You will be an integral part of the Material Innovation Lab (MIL). Our MIL provides the Group's Houses and key suppliers with resources, tools and new solutions to help them understand how to make more sustainable choices in their products' development. As part of our team, you will provide knowledge and technical support on sustainable materials (textiles, trims, non-woven) to the Brands. The scope of work includes maintaining up to date MIL collection of innovative and sustainable materials (the "library" and the "database"), strategic support to integrate sustainable materials into products and technical support to define and identify sustainable materials.

How you will contribute

* Support and foster relationships with Kering's Houses teams, direct suppliers and sub-suppliers on the interpretation of Kering's standards and protocols, certifications and schemes for textile materials
* Provide Kering's Houses with technical support on textile material supply chains and compliance procedures by identifying issues, designing and conducting analyses and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations
* Search, test and be constantly up to date on relevant schemes, new methods, platforms and mapping systems related to textile material supply chains, transparency and traceability
* Support continuous improvement of Kering's sustainability targets in textile supply chain processes and systems related to textile material sourcing
* Become an expert consultant on the assigned topics contributing to improve the knowledge of the whole team, supporting the knowledge transfer
* Act as an ambassador for the Material Innovation Lab at industry trade shows, events and meetings with stakeholders
* Contribute to organize and continuously update the Material Innovation Lab digital database, material library and archive

Who you are

* You have an educational background in logistics engineering, business economics or business administration combined with a strong interest in sustainability

* You hold seniority, both in material sourcing and fashion supply chains, and in understanding and interpreting protocols, certifications scheme, standards for textile materials
* You are eager to be the best in class and make that extra step in achieving operational excellence, blending strategic thinking with practical recommendations
* You are organized and a rigorous curator with a meticulous eye for detail with problem-solving and project management skills enabling you to confidently handle multiple projects and stakeholders
* You have a proven record in leadership in a work setting or through extra-professional activities
* You are a team-player who thrives in a fast-moving, international environment with a positive attitude, able to communicate complex ideas effectively
* You are fluent in Italian and English, French is a plus
