Revenue Accountant, Devices and Services Accounting Controllership

You have a strong knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), as well as experience in researching issues and documenting conclusions. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

* Maintain accountability for accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of accounting processes related to assigned area, including review agreements, develop significant estimates and reserves, accounting policies and memos, perform payment verification, month-end close activities, and balance sheet reconciliations, etc.
* Partner closely across finance (e.g., FP&A, FinOps, cross-product area, etc.) as well as the business (e.g., Product, Sales, etc.) to support new or ongoing business initiatives, and improve process efficiencies/scalability for continued operational excellence.
* Review business agreements, provide comments, vet accounting implications, and establish/improve processes to support the operations.
* Facilitate analytic review, and internal and external year-end audits, and provide insights to drive effective management decisions and ensure compliance.
* Support system launches and migrations. Participate in system design and testing when applicable

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
* CPA or CA equivalent or experience with US GAAP or IMCP

* 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, including both public accounting and operational accounting

* Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in Mexico and USA

Preferred qualifications:

* Public accounting experience as well as industry experience in an operational accounting role

* Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on business recognition

* Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional, fast-paced environment and to drive complex operational initiatives

* Excellent problem solving skills, combined with business judgment
