Compliance Manager, Risk and Compliance Solutions

Job Description:

Amazon is seeking an experienced compliance professional with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) expertise in the financial and payments sectors, to serve as a Compliance Manager for Servicios Comerciales Amazon Mexico S. de R.L. de C.V. In this role you will develop compliance strategies and policies to ensure our Store business is compliant with the Mexico Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) requirements, and other applicable regulations.

The successful candidate will engage internally across business, legal, operations, and technical teams to influence the strategic direction of products and design appropriate AML controls. The Compliance Manager will advise senior stakeholders on the compliance implications of business decisions. This role will also engage externally with independent auditors and regulators.

Key job responsibilities
* Collaborate on new product initiatives to understand legal impact, define compliance requirements, and establish appropriate compliance policies and controls to facilitate successful launch.
* Maintain a horizon view in order to detect and respond to new regulatory developments and issues that may pose compliance risk; educate management and guide teams in the development of a risk-based and coordinated response across dependent teams.
* Manage examination and external audit processes, maintaining productive relationships with external assessors on an ongoing cadence and ensuring timely and accurate response to inquiries.
* Promote a culture of compliance, proactively engaging with business teams to educate on compliance concerns, understand business objectives, and influence product design.
* Manage the day-to-day functions of the compliance program, inclusive of the submission of required regulatory reporting and oversight of business owned controls.
* Prepare reports to senior management and senior business leaders with timely and actionable intelligence concerning the health of compliance programs.

About the team
Risk and Compliance Solutions (RCS) is Amazon's Financial Crime and Consumer Protection Compliance gatekeeper for payment entities and activities, protecting buyers, brands and selling partners while allowing the organization to scale safely.

RCS designs, builds and manages Compliance Programs at the second-line level ensuring i) regulated RCS entities are compliant with applicable requirements, laws and regulations, ii) Amazon secures and maintains regulated licenses required to operate and, iii) Amazon brands can deliver trusted and valued payment experiences

Candidate Requirements:

- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience handling confidential information
- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Knowledge of PROFECO regulations.
- Knowledge of CNBV regulations.
- Knowledge of UIF regulations.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Knowledge in financial credit risk.
