Environmental Coordinator

Job Description:

* Ensure all compliance with local and corporate SCJ environmental standards according to zero waste to landfill management, air emissions within permitted parameters, and wastewater treatment and discharge and/or irrigation within permissible contaminant limits.

* Active and visible leadership in environmental management, actively participating in identification and management of risks associated with environmental aspects in production processes, laboratories, offices, recreational areas and green spaces, services and facilities, as well as in new projects.

* Develop environmental training plans focused on knowledge, awareness and discipline in adhering to procedures and work practices that control and mitigate pollution emissions into the environment.

* Promote improvements to processes and facilities aimed at environmental performance to reduce air emissions, waste generation and efficient use of natural resources.

* Development a environmental management structure (risk assessments, procedures, training programs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
* Bachelor's degree in industrial, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, with professional license.
* Advanced English (required)
* Environmental Management Systems, 4 to 6 years (ISO 14001, Industria Limpia, Zero waste to landfill, etc.), including experience as lead auditor.
* Environmental aspects and impacts management experience (6 years).
* Expertise in environmental and risk compliance (SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, SMA, COFEPRIS, CONAGUA, CNA, PROPAEM, SEDENA, CONAFOR, ASEA, EPA, NFPA, etc.).
* Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations.
