Job Description:

We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer to join our engineering team, focusing on Body in White (BIW) and Interior/Exterior Trim components. This role is ideal for candidates at the beginning of their career who want to grow their technical skills in an automotive environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Design and validation of BIW and Interior/Exterior Trim parts and systems
* Creation and modification of 3D and 2D designs using CATIA V5/V6
* Handling and updating data within PDM tools
* Participation in dimensional stack-up studies
* Preparation and maintenance of digital and physical model synthesis files
* Application and compliance with design rules and customer specifications
* Support in feasibility and costing (DFC) requests
* Contribution to DFC evaluation files for product changes
* Management of part lists and assembly details for production line integration
* Support in technical convergence studies
* Updating technical issue analysis files and action plans
* Coordination of supplier documentation (IMP, IMDS, drawings)
* Preparation of assembly agreements and parts validation summary files
* Basic design calculation summaries and documentation updates

Qualifications:

* 6 months - 1 year of experience in automotive design
* Educational background in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or related fields
* Basic experience or exposure to BIW and/or Interior/Exterior Trim components
* Knowledge of CATIA V5/V6 (3D & 2D)
* Understanding of automotive design processes and documentation
* Good communication skills and willingness to learn
Nice to have:
* Experience working on Stellantis projects
