ROLE PROFILE:
As part of the Workspace Core Apps team, you will contribute to building and evolving flagship UI applications used by more than 120,000 global financial professionals! These applications power critically important clients workflows by using real-time and fundamental financial data across markets and asset classes.
ROLE SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead Software Engineer to join our international, multicultural engineering team. You will play a key role in architecting, developing, and delivering core capabilities together for some of the most widely used and business-critical applications in LSEG Workspace, such as Monitor and Quote.
You will work closely with front-end, back-end, and quality engineers in an Agile environment, taking ownership and driving engineering excellence.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
* Developing front-end (and sometimes full-stack) features for Workspace's Core UI applications
* Building robust, high-performance UI components handling real-time and data from different sources
* Driving engineering guidelines, code quality, and performance optimizations
* Collaborating with a distributed team of engineers, product owners, and UX designers
* Contributing to continuous team improvement, using AI tools like Copilot
* Participating in 2-week Agile sprints, delivering incremental value and gathering frequent client feedback
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Technical Expertise
Front-End:
* TypeScript
* Angular or REACT
* AngularJS (nice to have for legacy components)
Back-End:
* NodeJS
* .NET / C# (nice to have)
Professional Skills
* Strong communication and collaboration skills
* Autonomy, proactivity, and ownership mentality
* Experience delivering products used by real clients
* Comfortable working in a global multicultural environment
* High proficiency in English
