RSA PR Associate

Job Purpose:

* The Production Research Associate plays a pivotal role in conducting field trials and supporting the execution of Production Research projects.

* Working under the direction of the RSA Research and Testing Mission Coordinator, this role is responsible for generating data that will drive the continuous improvement of seed production systems.

* The associate will assist in the implementation of regional and global Proof of Concept (POC) projects, focus on improving operational excellence, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for seed production yield and reliability enhancement.

* A key aspect of the role includes consulting with internal stakeholders and utilizing data analytics tools to derive actionable insights for seed production.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

* Production Research Field Trials: Execute and manage Production Research field trials in various locations, ensuring trials are properly set up, monitored, and completed according to established research methodologies and protocols

* Execution of POC Projects: Assist in the execution of regional and global Proof of Concept (POC) projects related to Production Research technologies, ensuring these trials are designed and implemented effectively.

* Operational Excellence: Strive for continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance operational processes, reduce inefficiencies, and optimize the

* Production Research testing system by providing feedback on trial outcomes and analysis of results

* Technology Implementation and Support: Assist in the integration and application of new technologies related to the genetic, trait and technology pipeline in seed production

* Collaboration and Consultation: Engage with global teams to share findings and integrate feedback on field trials and new technologies, consulting with internal stakeholders to provide feedback on the applicability and effectiveness of trials and research being conducted

* Data Analytics: Utilize data analytics tools to monitor, analyse, and interpret the results of field trials to provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders

* Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate findings, progress, and issues to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the broader goals of the

* Production Research department. Present results from trials or POC projects in clear, actionable formats, and contribute to strategic discussions on future research directions

* Workforce Management: Train and participate in the development of people resources and talent at the site, including interns and contract employees

HSE Responsibilities:

* Lead HSE efforts according to ISO 45001 and Bayer safety standards focusing on legal compliance and identifying safety risks applying the HIRA methodology

* Adhere to all applicable legislation, Bayer safety policies and procedures

* Actively promote the Bayer safety culture and best practices

* Participate in compiling Risk assessments and Job safety analysis

* Actively record safety observation and near misses

* Participate in 5WHY problem solving identifying corrective and preventative actions

Required Quslifications:

* BSc with 5-years or MSc with 2-years' experience in a relevant Agricultural discipline (agricultural research, plant physiology, plant breeding or related field

* Must have firsthand experience in design and execution of general, field and laboratory trial setups

* Strong record of innovation and applying modern technology

* Knowledge of seed production operations will be beneficial

* Experience in working in a team-based environment and capacity to influence within matrixed organizations (relationships and network)

* Results driven and capacity to influence within a matrixed organization and across functions

* Excellent communication - oral, written, under diverse circumstances and audiences

* Willingness to work in field conditions

* Ability to travel up to 40% of time
