Nordics Stockholm, Sweden We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting & Accounting Specialist to support the financial and regulatory reporting functions for our Nordic branches in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. What you'll be doing As part of our finance team, you will assist in preparing quarterly and annual and statutory reports, managing tax filings, and ensuring compliance with local and international reporting standards. You will work closely with internal stakeholders (Group Finance, Risk Management, Actuaries, Internal Audit), and external auditors and authorities and support ongoing process improvements to enhance the quality and timeliness of financial reporting. What will your essential responsibilities include? Managing the preparation and review of quarterly closings and annual financial statements for the Nordic branches, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. Managing the tax reporting processes, including VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory filings across Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. Collaborate on month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including reconciliations and accruals. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to facilitate audits and compliance requirements. Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts within financial reporting and accounting functions. Support offshoring activities with shared service centers and external providers, ensuring high-quality service delivery. Participate in local governance and reporting committees, providing financial insights and analysis as needed. Assist with various ad hoc projects, including system upgrades, process redesign, and strategic initiatives. You will report to the Manager, Financial Reporting & Accounting. What you'll bring We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced experience in accounting and reporting in an international environment, preferably in the insurance sector, auditing or tax consulting for insurance groups. Very good knowledge of the preparation and management of yearly financial statements, financial planning and accounting according to local GAAP, tax and IFRS. Excellent knowledge of tax law, tax planning, and especially tax returns, tax audits and regulatory issues. Experience in working with internal and external tax advisors and auditors. Very good knowledge of IFRS and local Swedish GAAP. Knowledge about Norwegian and Danish GAAP is an advantage. Good knowledge of international business systems like SAP or Oracle and experience of FP&A. Outstanding analytical skills, proactive and self-motivated with a sense of curiosity, eager to explore new ideas and take initiative to drive results. Excellent team-oriented attitude and communication skills. Ability to work self-directed within a team environment and manage multiple priorities. Fluency in English and in Swedish is required. Knowledge of Norwegian and Danish is an advantage. Robust IT skills including Microsoft Office is required. Digital and AI competence is considered an advantage.
