About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Culinary Department in Zurich, the Chef de Partie is responsible for state-of-the-art culinary experiences. The Chef de Partie reports to the Sous Chef.
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
* Taking responsibility for the management of your kitchen station, ensuring efficient and seamless workflow while strictly adhering to quality and hygiene standards
* Ensuring flawless preparation, quality, and appealing presentation of our dishes in accordance with our high standards
* Ensuring that food waste is kept to a minimum
* Providing creative support in the development of new food concepts
* Coordinating with your supervisor for inventory requisition and overseeing daily goods receipt
* Being responsible for the daily control of hygiene regulations and cleanliness according to HACCP guidelines
As Chef de Partie, we expect from you:
* A completed apprenticeship as a chef. 2-3 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in upscale hospitality/gastronomy
* Flexibility and resilience - your position includes weekend and holiday shifts
* An eye for detail and creativity - to incorporate your culinary signature
* Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and organizational abilities
* Strong leadership skills to manage your own station
* High commitment, with a structured, results-oriented, and independent working style
* A strong sense of quality
* Very good English skills. Additional language skills are an advantage
