About the role

The Regulatory Scientist is responsible for strategically and proactively influencing, leading, and communicating on regulatory matters both within Kerry and externally. The role also ensures that all Kerry local products are fully compliant for sale within Türkiye.

Key responsibilities

* Manage the regulatory compliance of locally produced finished goods portfolio. Ensure all products meet applicable regulatory and internal requirements.
* Perform end-to-end regulatory activities such as compliance checks, Kerry management system work flows such as MDG/Optiva, label creation, TDS creation and revision processes in line with current legislation and company standards.
* Prepare and maintain export documentation for locally manufactured finished goods.
* Monitor changes in food regulations and proactively engage with RD&A representatives and/or local authorities to minimize business impact.
* Assess the impact of upcoming regulatory changes and advise on implications for supply chain and distribution processes.
* Ensure continuous regulatory intelligence and facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization.
* Support New Product Development by participating in product briefings and artwork development stages.
* Provide expert guidance on product classification and claims during the NPD process.
* Liaise and communicate with Corporate Legal and Finance teams on strategic and operational regulatory matters.
* Define and drive global regulatory goals and objectives in alignment with Kerry's global regulatory strategy.
* Align and contribute to global regulatory strategies and objectives, ensuring local execution is consistent with Kerry's global regulatory framework.
* Collaborate with relevant departments in existing and emerging processes related to the function; perform duties in alignment with Kerry's values, demonstrating open-mindedness, inclusiveness, and ownership.

Qualifications and skills

* Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Regulatory Lead in a global food industry organization.
* Proven experience working with government authorities in Türkiye.
* Strong analytical mindset with expert-level observation, analysis, and judgment skills.
* Solid background in Food Science and regulatory standards applicable to Türkiye.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
* Must be fluent in spoken and written Turkish and English.
