Position

JOB MISSION
The MHUK Reporting team works closely with both internal finance stakeholders (Controlling team) and external (Consolidation team in France) to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the financial P&L and balance sheets. Additionally, this will support with internal control and master data maintenance tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Accounting, Reporting and Treasury:
* Working as part of the Finance team on monthly reporting to Group of P&L and quarterly reporting of balance sheets under IFRS (MHUK & JHD reporting split between 2 financial accountants)
* Responsible for preparing and processing of month end manual journal entries
* Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
* Supporting the Financial Reporting Manager with preparation of the financial statements and external audit
* Daily cashbook postings, monthly bank reconciliations and cashflow reporting
* Working efficiently and diligently to ensure all internal and external deadlines are met
Taxation:
* Assisting with preparation of the company tax submission, including but not limited to:
* Corporation Tax
* PSA (PAYE Settlement Agreement)
* VAT, Duty Deferment
Master data
* Creation of PE codes, profit and cost centres
* Working closely with the Supply Chain and Customer Services team to reduce master data errors impacting orders. Identifying where processes could be improved to improve efficiency.
* Preparing weekly vendor creation/modification exception reports and verifying changes are justified
* Preparing monthly exception reports on areas including changes to customer credit limits, changes to customer master data to ensure accuracy and mitigate segregation of duty risks
* Annual review and clean up of vendor database and customer database for inactive accounts
* Maintenance of users in workflow tool
Internal Control
* Assisting with Internal Audits and regular reporting on internal controls to Region and Group
* Assisting with segregation of duty analysis
* Monthly update and circulation of delegation of authority
Intercompany Recharges:
* Assisting with raising intercompany recharges

Other projects:
* Supporting the Financial Reporting Manager and other key stakeholders with ad hoc projects

Profile

Education:
* ACA/ACCA or equivilent (at least part qualified and working towards)
Professional experience & know how:
* Previous experience in a Reporting position (IFRS) with good accounting knowledge
* Technical and analytical mindset
* Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
* Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
Technical skills:
* Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS)
* MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
* SAP, Essbase (Topaz) are a plus
