Scottish Power HQ (St Vincent Street, Glasgow)
Salary: £57-72K (plus up to 15% bonus & healthcare)
Permanent, Hybrid Working (2-3 days per week in office)

Are you ready to play a key role in shaping the future of digital transformation? We're looking for an Application Consultant to join our team and help drive the development and implementation of our Digitalisation Strategy.

What you'll be doing
In this position, you'll lead a small team of Application Analysts and Administrators, guiding them to deliver and support innovative solutions within a Transformation Value Stream. You'll make critical design decisions that align with both local and global requirements, ensuring consistency with strategic architecture and business goals.

Your work will span early engagement on major projects, defining detailed application solutions, and creating models, templates, and frameworks that set the standard for delivery. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation and external vendors to identify technologies that meet evolving business needs, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, strategy, and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring
We're looking for someone with significant experience in application development and solution design, ideally within a global organisation. You'll bring strong leadership skills, the ability to mentor and develop teams, and a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences are essential.

Desirable experience includes:
Azure, Synapse, Informatica, CICD and automation, AWS/Data Bricks, and Agile ways of working.
