Job Description:
The Industrial Engineer plays a vital role in safeguarding process integrity within the manufacturing plant. Through precise routing maintenance, time studies, and accurate documentation of tooling and gaging, this position ensures that every product follows the correct process while delivering clear visibility into Operator performance, OEE, and capacity metrics. These efforts drive operational efficiency and support strategic improvements across the plant.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Maintaining accurate routings, including documenting process steps and rates
* Performing time studies of machining and labor processes to establish rates
* Maintaining accurate tooling and gaging information associated with processes
* Monitoring and addressing data issues related to work centers and routings
* Proactively identifying and helping address the highest-impact performance losses
* Interacting with shop floor personnel to understand and investigate process issues
* Contributing to authoring standards, procedures, and work instructions for the Industrial Engineering team and related functions
* Assisting Manufacturing Engineering with cost calculations and OEE simulations
* Ensuring that Operator and Job Setter work instructions follow best practices
* Authoring Appropriations Requests (ARs) for major capital purchases
* Helping guide co-ops, interns, and remote workers to productively assist the Industrial Engineering team
* Using Business Intelligence tools (such as Domo) to prioritize work in a quantified fashion
* Helping maintain shop floor layouts and other machine-related digital records

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a relevant engineering field, or equivalent experience
* At least one year of practical experience in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline
* Experience using digital tools for collaboration and work tracking
* Willingness to work on-site
* Strong communication and writing skills
* Legal authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
* Experience performing time studies
* Technical writing skills
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD)
* Experience working within a Lean Organization (leading Kaizens in 5S, setup reduction, layout development, and process improvement)
* Experience using Business Intelligence (BI) software
