Job Description:
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria. VIE Main Requirements:
* European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old (a V.I.E mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)
* Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

The contract duration of VIE is 12 months.

A VIE for a Manufacturing Engineering Support has arisen within Airbus Helicopters in Vemagal (India, 1 hour away from Bangalore). You will join the H125 Final Assembly Line (FAL) department.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the complex assembly process of an Airbus H125, focusing on operational efficiency and quality during the setup of this brand-new facility.

Tasks & accountabilities
Your main tasks will include:
* Assist Manufacturing Engineers in creating, updating, and optimizing assembly work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Participate in shop floor analysis to identify and resolve technical/quality issues encountered during assembly.
* Track and report on key production metrics (e.g., cycle time, non-conformity rates) and help streamline material flow.
* Support coordination with the Supply Chain team to ensure Just-In-Time delivery of parts and monitor material shortages.
* Work on establishing digital means and SQCDP tools as per business needs.

This role will involve travel for business in India and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills
You have the following skills and experience:
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
* A first experience in Manufacturing, Operations or Engineering (apprenticeships and internships included).
* Basic understanding of helicopter structures, Lean Manufacturing principles, and technical drawing/3D model interpretation.
* MS Office Suite, familiarity with Manufacturing/Design software.
In addition you are capable to demonstrate the following skills:
* High motivation and ability to work in a live manufacturing environment.
* Strong team spirit and global networking capabilities.
* Analytical mindset and commitment to integrity.
* Language Skills: advanced/negotiation level of English.

Missions et responsabilités :
Vous serez en charge des activités principales suivantes :
* Soutenir les ingénieurs de fabrication dans la création, la mise à jour et l'optimisation des instructions de travail d'assemblage et des procédures opérationnelles standard (SOP).
* Participer à l'analyse en atelier pour identifier et résoudre les problèmes techniques ou de qualité rencontrés lors de l'assemblage.
* Suivre et rapporter les indicateurs clés de production (temps de cycle, taux de non-conformité) et optimiser les flux de matériaux.
* Coordonner avec l'équipe Supply Chain pour assurer la disponibilité des pièces juste à temps et résoudre les pénuries mineures.
* Travailler sur l'établissement de moyens numériques et d'indicateurs SQCDP selon les besoins de l'entreprise.

Des déplacements professionnels sont à prévoir en Inde et, de ce fait, vous devez être disposé(e) à vous déplacer en conséquence.

Compétences requises
Vous avez les expériences et les compétences suivantes :
* Titulaire d'un diplôme (ou équivalent) dans le domaine de l'ingénierie aérospatiale, mécanique, industrielle ou une discipline apparentée.
* Une première expérience en lean manufacturing, excellence opérationnelle ou en amélioration continue (apprentissages et stages compris).
* Connaissance de base de la structure des hélicoptères, des principes du Lean Manufacturing et de l'interprétation de dessins techniques/modèles 3D.
* Pack Office, outils de gestion de production ou de conception (SAP/CAO seraient un plus).
En outre, vous êtes en mesure de démontrer les compétences suivantes :
* Motivation et capacité à travailler dans un environnement de production à enjeux élevés.
* Esprit d'équipe et capacité à réseauter dans un environnement international.
* Rigueur et orientation vers la résolution de problèmes.
* Compétences linguistiques : Niveau avancé/négociation en Anglais.
