About the Venture
We are developing a novel digital health venture in the radiology space. The platform addresses a critical gap: enabling patients with implants to safely access MRI scans.
By providing a structured, software-enabled workflow that integrates with radiology information systems (RIS) and electronic health records (EHR), the solution supports clinical teams with referral management, approvals, scheduling, and post-scan documentation.
Our team is now at a point where we\'re preparing our launch in 2026, and need someone to join our software development team.
Role Overview
The Project Manager will oversee planning and coordination across product, engineering, compliance, and clinical workstreams. This role requires a balance of startup adaptability and medical software experience.
Responsibilities
* Manage project milestones across development, compliance, and customer onboarding.
* Coordinate technical activities, including RIS/EHR integrations (HL7/FHIR) and security requirements.
* Ensure regulatory alignment with HIPAA, GDPR, and EU MDR.
* Track budget and operational metrics to support decision-making.
* Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product, clinical, and business teams.
Qualifications
* Experience managing projects in medical software, digital health, or healthtech startups.
* Knowledge of healthcare IT standards (HL7, FHIR, etc.).
* Familiarity with medical software regulatory frameworks (e.g., ISO 13485 and IEC 82304)
* Strong organizational, communication, and risk management skills.
* Languages: English; German as well is a big plus.
* Based in/near Berlin, with hybrid on-site availability (one to two days in-person meetings in Mitte/Rosenthaler Platz.)
Contract Details
* Freelance contract
* Duration: through mid-2026, with possible extension/FT
* Workload: 3-4 days/week, depending on project needs.
* Rate: commensurate with experience
