The Automation Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for providing expertise and resources for specification, design and implementation work for automation software configurations.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, DA and Automation and is part of the Systems Engineering department located in Dreieich and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:
* Providing expertise and resources for specification, design and implementation work for automation software configurations.
* Expertise and resources for integration and build of automation software configuration releases and preparation of software configurations as a deliverable.
* Maintenance and development of procedures/processes that control the development and testing of automation software configurations.
* Design and implementation of user interfaces for automation software configurations.
* Design and implementation of algorithms and functions in automation software configurations according to technical specification.

Who you are:
* MSc or similar education in the automation/software area.
* Overall experience of a few years in automation design and from development of SCADA/HMI controlled bioprocess systems.
* Experience from investigation, process improvements, line activities.
* Development and Implementation experience with automation technologies subjected to project needs that include: PLC programming, for example using Rockwell/Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Studio5000), Siemens TIA Portal, Codesys or similar and Configuration of automation software
* An understanding of the automation development process including tasks such as establishing requirements specifications and writing technical reports and documentation following standard methodology

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Ability to travel - approx. 20% travel
* Valid driver's license class B

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
* Experience working in GMP environment
* Strong communications skills
* Strong collaboration skills
* Fluent in english and german beneficial
