Job Description

Global Commodity Leader (f/m/d)
Full time
Munich or Dahlewitz / Hybrid

Why Rolls-Royce?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Global Commodity Leader (f/m/d) to join Rolls-Royce Electrical in Munich or Dahlewitz close to Berlin.

Work with us and we'll welcome you into an inclusive culture, one that invests in your continuous learning and development, and gives you access to a wide breadth and depth of experience.

Join us as a Global Commodity Leader in our Rolls-Royce Electrical division, and take charge of pivotal commercial supplier relations and frameworks. Your role is crucial in managing and crafting contracts, driving cost efficiency, and ensuring supply chain readiness for key technologies in our expanding product range. This is a dynamic opportunity to steer critical procurement elements and make a significant impact within a prestigious industry leader.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

What you will be doing

With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
* take the helm of supplier relationships, overseeing top-to-top management and setting strategic direction with partners, including ensuring adherence to the Rolls-Royce Supplier Code of Conduct,
* champion cost management efforts, driving long-term cost improvements aligned with business objectives, and capitalizing on reductions across strategic spend commodities and categories,
* formulate and implement commodity, category, and supplier strategies, providing clear vision and strategic framework while working in synergy with adept cross-functional teams to cater to both current and future manufacturing program needs,
* ensure the selection and management of a supply chain that fulfills stringent quality and delivery benchmarks, including the oversight of quality management and issue rectification processes.

Who we're looking for

At Rolls-Royce we embrace agility, are bold, pursue collaboration and seek simplicity in everything we do. These principles form our values and behaviours and are an essential component of our assessment process and are fundamental qualities that we seek for all roles.

To be successful in this role you will need to:
* hold a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline, along with multiple years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial Contracting, or Manufacturing, ideally in the Aviation/Aerospace sector,
* showcase a proven track record in delivering results, regardless of circumstances,
* engage in strategic planning and conduct industry analysis at the executive level, adept in managing product costs,
* commit to travel up to 25% of the time, both domestically and internationally,
* possess fluency in English, with proficiency in German considered a significant asset.

We are an equal opportunities employer. We're committed to developing a diverse workforce and an inclusive working environment. We believe that people from different backgrounds and cultures give us different perspectives. And the more perspectives we have, the more successful we'll be. By building a culture of respect and appreciation, we give everyone who works here the opportunity to realise their full potential.

We welcome applications from people with a refugee background.
