Manufacturing System Specialist

About the Role

Administer the MES system tools (Plain), as well as support and develop visualization and interaction tools to ensure optimal support for users in the use of the system and its data. The goal is to create value and achieve the Company's and plant's objectives in safety, quality, production, cost, delivery, and morale in a continuous improvement environment. This role is responsible for maintaining the MES system to guarantee data integrity and availability for analysis and decision making within the plant.

What You Will Do

* Work toward achieving a zero-loss mindset.
* Provide service to operations and supervise the metrics recorded in the MES system to ensure their integrity, availability, and reliability.
* Work to establish digital standards and ensure that the team operates accordingly (Safety, Quality, CL, CIL, etc.), as well as ensure that technical documentation and key performance indicator reports are available.
* Develop and implement improvements to the MES system to guarantee data availability, integrity, and reliability, while fostering data ownership among responsible users.
* Develop and implement MES system enhancements to generate data transparency across different levels, supporting a data-driven decision-making culture.
* Implement and support best practices within the organization or in other areas of the company, adopting change-management procedures.
* Train employees on new functions or changes made to existing ones and on systems used in general.
* Ensure reports are generated accurately and on time, and that their availability and/or distribution meets organizational requirements.
* Be responsible for maintaining the interface between MES and associated systems at different interaction levels (SAP, WMS, and others).
* Maintain constant and direct contact with the IT support area for transactional needs within the work area.
* Use Plain to extract data that generates value for the different plant areas and processes.
* Collaborate and implement information security measures for all devices and systems related to the MES system.
* Generate visualizations to ensure data transparency across the plant, using optimal tools to deliver user-friendly and functional displays (queries, Power BI, Power Apps, etc.).

Who You Are

A professional in engineering-preferably Mechatronics, Industrial, Systems Development, or related fields-with at least one year of proven professional experience in:
* Programming and database design
* Technical experience in programming systems (Advanced Excel, Power Platforms preferred, Visual Basic, Python or similar)
* Knowledge of SAP (preferred)
* English level B2
