AI / Bioinformatics Associate

ZS Discovery partners with pharmaceutical and biotech clients to accelerate the discovery of safer, more effective therapeutics with a higher chance of reaching patients and improving their lives. What you'll do:

* Multi-modal data integration across omics, imaging, assay and clinical data
* AI-driven discovery workflows and agentic systems, including target discovery, biomarker ranking and patient stratification
* Knowledge graphs and data foundation design (e.g., ontologies, semantic search, GraphRAG)
* Bioinformatics pipeline engineering (e.g., Nextflow, cloud-native, reproducible workflows)
* Translational science and biomarker development, connecting discovery data to clinical decisions
* Execute defined tasks: data processing, QC, pipeline runs, supporting components of LLM/RAG workflows
* Contribute to model output reviews and team discussions
* Support the creation of client-facing materials (e.g., slides, summaries), translating analyses into clear, structured messages
* Contribute to internal knowledge building (e.g., inputs to points of view, case examples, or reusable content)
* Build foundations across AI, life-science domain, and consulting craft
* Learn fast, ask sharp questions, take initiative on unowned problems
What You'll Bring

* Bachelor's or Master's in bioinformatics, computational biology, systems biology, computer science, data science or a related field
* Strong academic record; relevant projects, internships or early industry exposure
* Demonstrable curiosity for AI - side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons all count
* Fluency in English
* Client-first mentality
* Intense work ethic
* Collaborative spirit and problem-solving approach
