Place of work: Karadžičova 2, Bratislava, Slovakia (Job with occasional home office)
Contract type: Full-time
Start date: By agreement
Wage (gross): From 1650 EUR/monthly (+ salary review, interesting company benefits, the salary is negotiable based on experience and proven seniority)

Are you an accounting professional with initial hands-on experience who enjoys working with clients and wants to grow in an international environment?
In this role, you will take ownership of selected accounting areas and actively support clients in their operational finance processes.

You will work independently on assigned tasks, communicate confidently with German-speaking clients, and gradually grow into a trusted finance partner.

Responsibilities

* Independently support operational accounting processes (AP, AR, GL, Procure-to-Pay)

* Record, review, and reconcile financial transactions within agreed timelines

* Manage open items, follow-ups, and clarifications with clients and internal teams

* Support end-to-end finance processes, including cash application and treasury-related activities

* Actively communicate with German-speaking clients (emails, calls, meetings)

* Participate in month-end closing and support financial reporting

* Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements

* Perform basic financial analysis and identify discrepancies

* Contribute to process improvements and increased efficiency

* Support junior colleagues when needed

What you need to succeed

* 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance operations

* German language skills at C1 level

* Good command of English

* Solid understanding of AP, AR, GL, P2P, or treasury processes

* Experience with accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

* Good MS Excel skills

* Ability to prioritize, work independently, and meet deadlines

* Proactive mindset and confidence in client communication

* Experience from SSC, consulting, or shared service environment is a plus
