Role Overview

Temporary Position - Maternity Cover

The BI and Applications Analyst is responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining data solutions that support business operations, financial reporting, and client management across Merkle EMEA.
The role combines solution architecture, development, and process optimisation, with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint, Fabric).

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Ownership
* Design and build business applications using Power Apps and integrated solutions within Power BI environments
* Ensure applications follow best practices for:
* Security and access control
* Data validation and error handling
* Scalability and maintainability
Automation & Process Optimisation
* Lead automation initiatives using Power Automate
* Standardise and improve processes such as:
* Invoice generation and email workflows
* Approval flows and notifications
* Data integration between systems (e.g., finance platforms, reporting tools)
Data & Reporting Solutions (Power BI / Fabric)
* Develop and manage Power BI reports and semantic models supporting finance and operations
* Work with complex data architectures including:
* SQL databases, dataflows , SharePoint and external sources
* Deliver reporting solutions focused on:
* Revenue, cost tracking, and forecasting
* Client performance and financial KPIs
* Troubleshoot and optimise dataflows and reporting issues across environments.

* Knowledge, Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
* Strong expertise in Power BI, including data modelling and DAX
* Experience working with SQL, dataflows, and enterprise data sources
* Strong understanding of business processes, particularly in Finance and Operations environments
* Experience delivering end-to-end application and reporting solutions
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
