Join Cisco's Catalyst SD-WAN team as a Junior Test Engineer, where you will begin your career by contributing to the quality assurance of innovative SD-WAN solutions. This role is ideal for fresh graduates with foundational knowledge in networking principles, including routing, forwarding, and core security concepts. You will gain hands-on experience in test automation using Python scripting and develop your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in developing and executing test cases to validate SD-WAN features and functionalities.
* Support the automation of test scripts using Python to improve testing efficiency.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and testing needs.
* Participate in troubleshooting and debugging issues found during testing.
* Learn and apply networking concepts related to routing, forwarding, and security in the context of SD-WAN.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and automation frameworks.
* Maintain documentation of test cases, results, and defects.
* Engage in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
* Basic understanding of networking principles, including routing and forwarding concepts.
* Fundamental knowledge of core network security principles.
* Working knowledge of Python scripting for automation or programming tasks.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic technology environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Internship or project experience related to networking or software testing.
* Familiarity with software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
* Exposure to automation frameworks or tools is a plus.
* Interest in Cisco SD-WAN technologies and enterprise networking solutions.
