Apple is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Email Delivery Services team in IS&T. This team is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and securing our email services, ensuring timely and successful email delivery. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the availability of this critical platform. You'll also be tasked with developing and enhancing existing internal applications in various languages related to email and other critical collaboration services.
The Site Reliability Engineer will be highly motivated, passionate about excellence, quality, and detail. As a SRE, you'll support operations and collaborate closely with team engineers to aid in architectural design and implement complex features. A key responsibility will be developing and maintaining tools and applications used for delivering critical corporate-wide services. Documenting and continuously improving the quality of our infrastructure, services, and processes will be important goals. Participation in on-call rotation will be required.
Email Systems Expertise: Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, JMAP) and proficiency in email security and anti-abuse measures. Technical Operations & Scripting: Experience managing Linux operating systems and the ability to script in Python, Shell, or Perl for automation and system tasks. Problem-Solving Acumen: Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues. Communication & Adaptability: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Knowledge of LDAP / DNS Familiarity with Kubernetes, Cassandra, ObjectStore Familiarity with Email authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI)" Experience and knowledge of Automation tools (Ansible / Puppet) Understanding of Milter Programming skills (Java / C / C++)
