The Payments Processing Analyst undertakes the complete and accurate capturing of payment transactions, ensuring that all payment-related information and relevant parties are processed according to established Service Level Agreement (SLAs) and industry guidelines. In addition, they should ensure that procedures are properly executed to reduce processing risk and identify potential areas for process improvement whether internally within the bank or for our clients. It often involves time critical, potentially complex or in some cases regulated tasks including interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Holding the unique position as the world's largest Euro (EUR) clearer and a leading US Dollar (USD) clearer we provide integrated transaction banking solutions to a diverse client base across the globe. Within Cash Operations in Deutsche Bank Dublin you will support the London branch, and support products such as CHAPS, BACS, Cheque clearing and Faster Payments

Your key responsibilities
* Monitor payment queues and action transactions promptly. Prioritising transaction by currency / payment medium to ensure that payments are completed within clearing / agent deadlines.
* Processing payments related to FX deals.
* Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
* Follow Deutsche Banks' Internal Policies and audit requirements to maintain strong financial controls.
* Maintain reports, including updating daily reconciliations and management information on payment volume.
* Support testing and implementation of system updates.
* Ensures the escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate. Works effectively within own team, providing support and guidance to colleagues to create and foster an environment of continuous improvement
Your skills and experience
* Good knowledge of/demonstrated interest in international clearing systems, messaging formats & SWIFT.
* Educated to Bachelor's degree level in Business/Finance related discipline or equivalent qualification or equivalent work experience
* Strong organisational and analytical skills
* Ability to prioritise work while under pressure, both while supporting your team and /or independently in a dynamic environment to ensure assignments are completed with established deadlines
* Customer focused, proven ability to provide strong customer service, as well as a record of your capacity to follow through on issues to a satisfactory resolution
